Edison 700 series addressable audio nurse call

(also see Staff/Personal Attack Alarm Systems)

The 700 series is the latest innovation in advanced call systems.  The system boasts all the features of the previous 600 series but now with hands free two way speech facilities between audio units.  All room call points have an integral infra red receiver, which allows a call to be generated remotely from the call point without the need for trailing wires.  Using the TIR4 infra red trigger, it is possible to identify the calling resident/patient together with their location, which can then be routed to specific members of staff.  The system is fully addressable and only requires connection to a common 12v network cable.  The system configuration, resident/patient and room descriptions are software controlled and may be altered at any time.  These units are very flexible and are the basis of our bespoke nurse call and personal attack alarm systems and are often combined with components of other systems to exactly match our customers' requirements.

L752 Audio Call Point

An L752 Audio Call Point is required for every individual audio call location on the system.  The unit features 7 levels of call, hands free two way intercom, integral infra red receiver, audio page facility, re-assurance LED & ‘call follower’ sounder.  The jack socket will accept a host of triggering devices including pear leads, air switches, pressure mats, etc.  The unit may be flush or surface mounted using the Intercall BB1 backbox.

L722 Non Audio Call Point

The L722 Non Audio Call Point is used in bathrooms, toilets and areas where the intercom facility is not required.  The unit features an infra red receiver and can be activated with the use of the TIR4 infra red trigger.  The jack socket will accept a host of triggering devices including pear leads, air switches, pressure mats, etc.  The unit may be flush or surface mounted using the Intercall BB1 backbox.

L758 Audio Display Unit

A display unit is required in every location where calls are to be shown, the alarm is to sound and staff can use the intercom to speak to the residents.  The audio display units provide a description of the call type, location and identity of caller, together with sounding the integral alarm.  The unit features 2 line back-lit display, multifunction audible alarm, two way intercom facility and audio page facility to all other displays and to all members of staff present within a residents bedroom.

L762 Call/Display Unit

The L762 Call Display Unit combines the features of the speech call point with a built in display.  When in staff present mode the unit will display other calls on the system in full alphanumeric text, enabling staff to accept and speak to other callers elsewhere on the system without having to leave the residents room.  This feature is very useful in larger homes or at night time when the home is running on reduced staffing levels.

L714 Remote Sounder with Relay

Remote sounders are used in areas where an audible alarm is required to attract attention but no indication of call location is required.  The sounder is similar in operation to a display unit with a multi level alarm, but has limited zoning facilities.  Any assistance or emergency call on the system will over-ride the standard call tone.  The unit is fitted with a relay that provides normally open and normally closed ‘dry’ contacts, which can be used to trigger auxiliary devices.

L746 Overdoor Light

Overdoor lights are an optional item normally positioned above the door in a corridor to indicate the status of the call point(s) within the room.  The L746 can also be used to monitor several call points for end of corridor indication, or as a “follow me” light.  Each unit is fitted with twin ultra-bright LED’s which mimic the reassurance indicator on the call points.  The L746S unit operates in the same way as the standard overdoor light but also features an integral sounder.

L748 Corridor Display Unit

The large LED display unit can be clearly seen and read from 5 metres and is ideal for larger homes and hospitals, as it allows busy staff to easily see who is calling at a glance.  Call information is clearly displayed in full alphanumeric text on the 16 character illuminated display and a built in audible tone alerts staff to the call.

Printers and alphanumeric Pagers

Printers and alphanumeric pagers can be connected to the system with the L747 Universal interface.  The printer provides a permanent printed record of all system activity together with date and time.  Pagers can be configured to display calls made on the system as they would appear on the display unit.  This allows staff to carry on with their work without having to worry about missing calls.  Pagers can also be specially configured to only receive certain calls or calls at certain times of the day.

L733 Door Monitoring Point/Access Control Point

The L733 Door Monitoring Point is used to protect fire doors, entrance and exit doors or other sensitive areas.  The unit is controlled with the use of a key token, which performs all functions when brought near the token detection area on the fascia.  The unit features integral 20 second exit timer with audible bleep and mode jumper to prevent sensitive or dangerous exit doors being permanently left open.  The unit is supplied with one magnetic token.

CMS Lite Call Management Software

The CMS Lite Call Management Software allows you to record and store all 700 systems activity on your personal computer.  Giving you immediate access to information, it is easy to access the call history of a resident, keeping you in charge of your home or hospital.  Staff pagers can also be controlled from your computer, allowing free text messages to be sent to individual pagers.

TIR4 Infra Red Trigger

The TIR4 Infra Red Trigger allows calls to be made from any location covered by the system.  It operates by triggering the local infra red call point when the button is pressed, allowing the exact location of the resident to be displayed.  All 700 series call points are infra red enabled and accept the signals from the TIR4 range of triggers.  In addition, when using the TIR4 with a 700 system, it is possible to identify the call location and the individual caller.

Disabled Toilet Alarm Kits

A503/LED - Disabled Toilet Alarm Kit

The Disabled Toilet Alarm has been designed to provide a reliable and easy to use method of calling for assistance.  Guidelines require that all new disabled toilet installations must have a fixed method of communication and this kit provides a compliant, cost effective solution.  The system consists of:- ceiling-mounted pull cord which is located above the toilet and  the Alarm controller located as required to alert staff outside the toilet which is a complete power supply and high visibility LED and integral sounder.
